- Here we are, half way through May, and there are still no swifts on Broadwalk, Darley Dale ~ I can only hope they are late this year.
- Listening to my first cuckoo of the year ... on Stanton Moor.
- Saw my first swallows of the year this morning. There were ten or twelve of them flying above the river in Bakewell. They seemed happy ... perhaps they were just relieved to have completed their journey safely.
- Just been listening to my first Chiffchaff of Spring in Hardwick Park, Derbyshire, on a beautiful sunny morning ~ I promise not to overdo the walking today.
- Today was my first walk, six days after Chemo No. 9 ... and it was really hard work. I have never felt so weak. My legs seemed to have no strength due, I believe, to the steroids I'm taking. I only walked between two and three miles (mainly on the level) but it was enough. Fortunately, I feel ok now I'm home and I've had my lunch. Tomorrow, I will try and walk further ...
- I couldn't get on Multiply over the weekend hence my relative lack of activity ... just in case anyone was wondering.
- For those who are interested Christopher Nicholson's article in respect of Roger Redfern is now available in the March issue of Derbyshire Life in all good newsagents. Page 46 onwards is where you'll find it.
- And in a positive move this morning, I have just paid a £30 subscription for another thirteen issues of Countryfile magazine ~ looking forward to getting my money's worth ...
- Back from chemotherapy and no problems [though they did forget to give me a slip for my next bloodtest which I will have to ask for before the next bloodtest]. A report will follow in a day or so ...
- The Cat & Fiddle roads looks uninviting ... at least according to the webcam at http://www.maccinfo.com/cat/...

 | on FB, with the new Timeline...u can post a beautiful /personal picture (called a Cover) that is large, at the very top of your profile page...and it adds spark to your page. I like that u can drag it up and down to focus/center the best spot. |
 | Conscious of you after my visit to the doc. How are things going now, Charlie? |
 | Finally caught up on all your blogs. Phew! Take care. You are already walking far further than I am! |
 | Hi, Charlie. Glad things are going well. Yes, I long to get out walking too. But I wouldn't get very far at the moment, so I'm happy to sit in the window and look at the garden for now. Hope you get a break in the weather soon. |
 | Glad to hear things are going well, Charlie. Sorry I've been a bit self-centred recently. That coffee sounds good! |
 | Good day Charlie. I hope your weekend is going well. Happy St Patrick's Day. |
 | Nice to meet you, Charlie...
|
 | Hope I haven't missed a vital post. How are you doing, Charlie? |

Jamie and I travelled over to the hospital once again, me with my swollen right leg, getting there for 9.25am though my appointment wasn't until 9.45. This paid off as I was called in to see the doctor ten minutes before I was even due there .... more | | |
